Peetz vs. Briggsdale scoring breaks state records
    STERLING JOURNAL-ADVOCATE, Oct. 1 — The Peetz homecoming football game was one for the history books.
    The arrival of the game ball via North Colorado Med Evac helicopter before the start of the game signaled something special about Saturday’s matchup between the Bulldogs and the Briggsdale Falcons.
    But no one would have guessed that the final score — Peetz 101, Briggsdale 85 — would break records dating back nearly 90 years.

Haxtun BOE approves shooting-sports team
    HAXTUN-FLEMING HERALD, Sept. 26 — Members of the Haxtun Board of Education approved a motion for a scholastic clay target program on a one-year trial basis, subject to annual review.
