Limon advances to state softball

    Limon was the only District 4 softball team to make it out of regionals and advance to the state tournament in Arvada this Friday and Saturday, Oct. 19-20.
    Both Holyoke and Burlington were eliminated from postseason at regional tourneys Oct. 13 at Rocky Ford and University High School, respectively.
    The Badgers advance to state as the No. 7 team, facing No. 10 Rocky Ford at 12:15 p.m. Friday.
    Other 12:15 first-round state tourney games will feature No. 3 Delta vs. No. 14 Sterling, No. 6 Lamar vs. No. 11 Meeker and No. 2 Eaton vs. No. 15 Montezuma-Cortez.
