Community pitches in to keep people warm and fed through Viaero coat and food drive
For five years now, Holyoke’s Viaero store has hosted a winter coat drive, and community members have generously made donations to keep others warm. This year, a food drive was added to the efforts, and the response didn’t disappoint. The coats and food pictured are only about half of total contributions. About 165 coats were collected, and people had the chance to go into the store to take them as needed. All the remaining coats will be distributed by the Department of Human Services. Food was split between the Methodist and Lutheran food banks. Pictured from left are Viaero employees who made the food and coat drive possible, Cory Richa, Noemi Rojas, Lila Einspahr and Alexis Lenhart. — The Holyoke Enterprise | Johnson Publications
