Swimmers win Skyline dual

    Holyoke High School girls swim team won its meet with Skyline at Eaton 97-87 last Thursday, Jan. 10, with all 10 swimmers participating and scoring major placements and points.
    The team’s dual at Skyline was originally scheduled for Jan. 25. When Skyline’s pool was closed for maintenance, Eaton agreed to include Holyoke in its planned dual against Skyline on Jan. 10.
    Coach Aly Brinkema said Thursday was a stellar performance for the team, especially considering its intense training regimen approaching the end of its regular season.
    “If I had to pick a favorite meet this season, surprisingly, this might be it,” she said. “These 10 young ladies were complimented on their competitive performances and good sportsmanship by both officials and opposing coaches.”
