    A Red Cross blood drive is set for Friday, Feb. 1, from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Holyoke. To schedule an appointment, contact Sara Krueger at 308-201-0519 or visit redcross blood.org and enter “holyokeco.” Walk-ins are welcome.
    
Farm and Home Show bumped up to Feb. 2
    The Farm and Home Show, hosted by KSTH Star 92.3, is earlier than usual this year. The ninth annual event will feature a wide variety of booths this Saturday, Feb. 2, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at Phillips County Event Center in Holyoke. Admission is free, and lunch will be available for purchase at the show.
    
HHS to stage ‘Arsenic and Old Lace’
    For the first time since 1983, “Arsenic and Old Lace” will be performed on the Holyoke High School stage. Rehearsals, under the direction of Bret Miles, started this week for the April 5-6 spring play.
    The plot of this old classic revolves around the Brewster family, composed of insane homicidal maniacs. Family members will be played by Brenna Gatton as Abby, Ashlyn Marcum as Martha, Dylan Miles as Mortimer, Kenneth Lindholm as Jonathan and Andrew Rivera as Teddy. LorenJo Oberle is cast as Elaine Harper, and Zander Salyers is Dr. Einstein.
    
Hospice of the Plains to host Cajun boil
    Hospice of the Plains Inc. invites community members to a Cajun boil and pie auction Saturday, Feb. 16, at 6:30 p.m. at the Haxtun Community Center. Tickets may be purchased in advance by calling the Hospice of the Plains office at 970-332-4116. All proceeds will benefit patient care and bereavement services.
