Holyoke knocked out of regional baseball; Wiggins advances to state

The first two rounds of the Colorado 2A regional/state baseball tournament are complete, and the final four teams are preparing to finish the tournament Saturday, May 25.
Holyoke High School qualified for the tournament based on the baseball team’s RPI throughout the season. On May 18, the Dragons faced the Calhan Bulldogs, who dominated 18-1. The win knocked Holyoke out of the running for the state title and sent Calhan into round two, where the Bulldogs were defeated 10-0 by Rye, who had beaten Limon 4-3 earlier in the day.
Also in round two last weekend, Peyton beat Holly 10-0, Wiggins beat Yuma 6-5, and Fowler beat Dawson School 5-1.
