HHS golf finishes top in its league

    Finishing out the season as the top team in the Northern Plains league, Holyoke High School girls golf had much to celebrate at a May 23 awards program at HHS. It was the second time in three years that HHS earned the league championship title. Individually, Brenna Sullivan and Traeli Hutches were both named to the All-Conference first team, in addition to earning the opportunity to compete in the state tournament.
    Coaches Nick Flaa and Marcia Dalton awarded letters to Sullivan, Hutches, Ciera Schelling, Emily Chaney and Amy Mackay. Others recognized for their participation on the 2019 team were Kaylee Camblin, Sloane Bishop, Makenzie Martin, Tayler Hale, Jackie Valenzuela and Chloie Metzger.
    As a team, HHS girls golf received the Les Schwab Academic Team Championship Award for having a GPA of 3.5 or higher.
