Quilters represent at Wray

    Phillips County was well represented in the Quilts of the Plains outdoor quilt show in Wray Saturday, June 22.
    Julie Haake of Creative Traditions in Holyoke transported entries from area quilters to the show, and her business was also a sponsor.
    Haake noted that of 13 Phillips County entries, six were winners.
    In viewers’ choice competition, Phillips County had three places, including two who tied for second and one who finished third.
    Sharing in second-place honors were “Morning Glory” by Kristine Fulscher of Amherst with quilting by Leah Munson, and “Reborn” by Barb Holtzman of Holyoke. Third place went to “Galaxy of Stars” by Dottie Oman and Kim Guernsey of Haxtun.
