    Have you ever heard of a Japanese Haskap/Honeysuckle? It is commonly named Yezberry Maxie™ with the largest fruit yet. This extremely cold-hardy to zone 3, Japanese haskap variety was developed in a United States germplasm from Hokkaido, Japan’s northernmost island. This shrub with the Latin name of Lonicera caerulea is a shrub that fruits without a pollinator. Apomictic variety of fruit trees and shrubs are asexual. In other words, the egg does not need to be fertilized and that is why so many fruiting trees and shrubs need to be pollinated.
    These Yezberry Maxie™ Haskap can be used as a hedge or shrub border. Growing fruit could not be easier. These shrubs grow to a height of five to six feet tall and as wide. They grow in full sun or partial shade. They are very adaptable to soil moisture and do well in wet or dry soils. This is the same with pH levels.
