School registration is Aug. 15
Families are reminded that a registration day at both Holyoke Elementary School and Holyoke JR/SR High is set for Thursday, Aug. 15. Students and parents should stop by from from 8-10 a.m. for last names ending in A-H, from 10 a.m.-noon for I-P and 1-3 p.m. for Q-Z.
That day there is also a kindergarten parent meeting at the elementary school at 5 p.m.
Wednesday, Aug. 21, is the first day of school at Holyoke JR/SR High School.
On Aug. 21, the elementary school will be hosting parent/teacher conferences. Elementary students begin class Thursday, Aug. 22.
Fair keepsake highlights 4-H, FFA, open class results
Look inside this edition of the Enterprise for this year’s Phillips County Fair keepsake section. It includes results from 4-H, FFA and open class projects in addition to special thank-yous and congratulations.
Free prenatal training class offered
Melissa Memorial Hospital is offering a free four-week class focusing on the labor and delivery experience, postpartum period, breastfeeding, local resources and more. The class welcomes both singles and couples who are pregnant and preparing for parenthood. Classes will be Mondays, Aug. 26 and Sept. 9, 16 and 23, from 5:30-8 p.m. in the MMH board room. 2019-2020 community calendars available later this week
The 40th annual community and school calendar will be available around town starting Friday, Aug. 16. They are sponsored by the Holyoke Chamber of Commerce, Holyoke School District and local businesses.
