Eastern Colorado Community Forestry Conference is Oct. 12

Make plans now to attend the Eastern Colorado Community Forestry Conference on Saturday, Oct 12, from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Julesburg Library for a comprehensive planting to pruning workshop for trees. More research in the science of planting trees and tree care continues to be gathered. This is a good time to get updated and be prepared for late winter or early spring planting and pruning.

Donna Davis, community forestry program specialist of Colorado State Forest Service, will cover tree selection, transport, planting, pruning and care. Golden Plains Extension’s horticulture program associate Linda Langelo will be covering the best tree suggestions for the area.
