Phillips County Players melodrama fills theater with boos, cheers, laughter
Theatergoers cheered the heroes and booed the villains in true melodrama fashion last weekend during the Phillips County Players production of “The Bilking of Lord Bilgeworthy Or ... Froggy Went a-Courtin’” by Charles E. Bright.
Serving as the entertainment portion of the Peerless Theatre’s CineMagic fundraiser, the show opened Oct. 26. A second showing was also held at the Peerless on Sunday afternoon, Oct. 27.
