Watch basketball games for free this month
Thanks to a sponsorship by Seaboard Foods, all spectators attending the home basketball games this month will get free admission. Holyoke High School girls and boys basketball teams will host Sedgwick County Saturday, Dec. 14, at 3 p.m. and Haxtun Thursday, Dec. 19, at 4 p.m.
School bands to perform Monday
Holyoke band members in grades 5-12 will be performing a winter concert Monday, Dec. 16, at 7 p.m. in the HHS auditorium.
Toy/food drive, soup supper at Regent Park
Tuesday, Dec. 17, is a big day at Regent Park and Carriage House. Holyoke second graders will be performing their Christmas program for residents at 10:30 a.m. From 1-6 p.m., toys and food can be dropped off to benefit local families. The community is invited to a soup supper from 4-7 p.m., and kids can visit Santa at 6 p.m.
4-H to host party Dec. 20
Students are invited to celebrate the new 4-H year with a party Friday, Dec. 20, from 7:30-10:30 p.m. at the Phillips County Event Center. There will be dodgeball, inflatables, knocker balls, nine square in the air and more. Before the party, kids in grades 3-6 can attend the Be Somebody program from 5-7 p.m. at the event center. $2,000 raised at dodgeball tourney
Holyoke High School’s National Honor Society raised $2,000 for Kendall Kroeger’s cancer costs at a dodgeball tournament Nov. 25. A team of 11th graders called 1-800-Rent-A-Homie took first place, including Alec Sprague, Jalen Hunter, Cameron Skager, Erick Marroquin, Aaron Sierra and Michael Rascon.
