Ag mental health meeting is Feb. 21
The Community Resource Department of Centennial Mental Health Center invites individuals who work in agriculture to the second meeting of the Agriculture Community Stakeholder’s Group on Friday, Feb. 21, from 8-9:30 a.m. at the Sterling Livestock Commission located at 20197 Riverside Drive in Sterling. This meeting will be an opportunity for members of the agriculture community to offer input and expertise to guide prevention work in the rural counties of northeast Colorado.
According to Maranda Miller, prevention services program manager, “We were very pleased with the turnout for the first meeting and see potential for the group to grow even more with others who represent or serve the agriculture community. The desire to help guide our efforts to prevent suicide and raise mental health awareness was absolutely inspiring and I am excited to facilitate the next meeting.”
Breakfast will be served, and RSVPs are appreciated; email events@centennialmhc.org. For questions, please contact Miller at events@centennialmhc.org or 970-522-4549.
