Daylight saving time begins Sunday

Residents are reminded to “spring forward” and set their clocks ahead one hour as daylight saving time officially begins at 2 a.m. Sunday, March 8.

 

Look for election recap next week

The Enterprise will be reporting results from Colorado’s presidential primary election in the March 12 edition of the newspaper.

 

Registration open for soccer

Kids can now sign up for the spring soccer program coordinated by the City of Holyoke Recreation Department. The season is open to preschoolers (must be 5 by April 1) through high schoolers. An informational meeting is set for Thursday, March 5, at 5:30 p.m. at the Peerless Center. Pre-registration is due Monday, March 16, and payment must be submitted to the City office by Friday, March 13. Forms can be found on the City of Holyoke Recreation Facebook page or by contacting director Victoria Dunker at 970-580-3659 or recdirector@cityofholyoke-co.gov.

 

2 turn in forms for 2 hospital seats

As of the deadline, two candidates had filed forms for two open seats on the East Phillips County Hospital District Board of Directors. Therefore, the May 5 candidate election is not needed, and incumbents Gary Rahe and Sheila Gift will claim the four-year terms.
