The Dragons had a strong start in the first game, scoring five runs in each of the first two innings.

Coach Sherman Kage said he was happy to see the team jump out early, see the pitches out of the pitcher’s hand and hit the ball well.

“These were two good wins we picked up going into the rest of our league schedule,” he said.

Correy Koellner and Haley Van Overbeke led the Dragons at the plate. Koellner had three hits, including a triple and a home run, in four at-bats, driving in three runs. Van Overbeke went four for four at the plate with two RBIs, slugging a double and a triple.
