HHS football opens Saturday, Oct. 10

With the announcement last week that Holyoke High School will be playing football this fall, the scramble began to find officials and schedule games on the dates that Colorado High School Activities Association designated.

HHS activities director John Baumgartner reported the schedule for Holyoke games, as of early this week.

The Dragons will open on their home field Saturday, Oct. 10, at 1 p.m., hosting Highland.

The rest of the schedule follows: Friday, Oct. 16, at Burlington, 7 p.m.; Friday, Oct. 23, Wiggins, here, 7 p.m.; Saturday, Oct. 31, at Wray, 1 p.m.; Saturday, Nov. 7, at Pinnacle in Thornton, 6 p.m.; and Friday, Nov. 13, Limon, here, 7 p.m., Parents Night.

In postseason action, quarterfinal playoffs will be Saturday, Nov. 21; semifinals, Saturday, Nov. 28; and state championship, Saturday, Dec. 5.
