COVID rate of increase grows in Colorado
Colorado has recorded an 8.7% increase in positive COVID-19 cases in the past week, compared to 6.3% the previous week and 5.9% the week before that.
Positive COVID-19 cases were reported Monday, Oct. 5, as follows:
— Northeast Colorado: 1,987 cases (increase of 128 in the last week), including Morgan County, 765; Logan County, 960; Yuma County, 144; Washington County, 70; Phillips County, 33; and Sedgwick County, 15.
Northeast Colorado showed a 6.9% increase, with Logan County showing 85 more positive cases for a 9.7% increase.
The Northeast Colorado Health Department also reported 56 total deaths, including Morgan County with 48, Logan County six and Sedgwick and Yuma counties one each.
