Christmas bells are ringing
It’s that time of year again, and Salvation Army bell ringers are adding a little jingle to the jangle of donated coins landing in the red kettle outside Holyoke Marketplace. From left, Cesar Favela makes a donation while Kenya Marquez, Karol Villegas, Berence Villegas and Kaylee Marquez look on. Bell ringers are stationed outside Holyoke Marketplace from 4-7 p.m. weekdays, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturdays and 12-2 p.m. Sundays through Dec. 23. Volunteers are decked out in their best deck-the-hall outfits and ready to spread Christmas cheer. To volunteer, visit https://www.signupgenius.com/go/60B0C45AAAE2CA7F58-2020. Any donations made to Holyoke’s red kettle campaign stay in Phillips County with the local Salvation Army service extension unit. Donations can also be made at http://salarmy.us/IMRescueChristmasWeb, or by using GooglePay and ApplePay on smartphones by scanning a QR code on the kettle.
