Holyoke steps up for adopt-a-family program
Kyle Carper grabs an armful of rice to place in boxes that lined the halls of Zion Lutheran Church last Wednesday morning, Dec. 16. Several people were working in all corners of the church to organize and distribute food, hygiene items, cleaning supplies, paper products and toys for the annual adopt-a-family program. The church, in cooperation with Phillips County Department of Human Services, led the effort to make sure 60 families/individuals were adopted this holiday season. Participants picked up items from the church last week, added their own gifts and delivered it all to their adopted families just in time for Christmas.
