MMH hosts book drive

An annual book drive hosted by Melissa Memorial Hospital is going on now until Monday, March 15. New or gently used books, including bilingual/Spanish books, can be dropped off in boxes located in the lobby at 1001 E. Johnson St.

 

Domestic violence, human trafficking presentation is Thursday

A nonprofit organization called SARA House in Fort Morgan is hosting a presentation Thursday, March 4, from 10 a.m.-noon at First Baptist Church, 1000 E. Johnson St., Holyoke. The presenters want to share with women tips on how to talk to their children about safety and protection against domestic violence and human trafficking.

 

No school Friday

Holyoke School District will not have class Friday, March 5, due to a teacher inservice.

 

Teams sought for Family Feud event Sunday

The Holyoke FBLA community service team of Ethan Schneller, Tayla Martin and Katelyn Kropp are hosting a Family Feud event Sunday, March 7, to raise funds for a new food stand for the Lions Club at the fairgrounds. Spectators are invited to watch the game show, beginning at 3 p.m. at the Holyoke High School auditorium. FBLA is also looking for teams of five people to play Family Feud with a cash prize on the line. To enter a team, email ethanschneller@gmail.com.
