Emma Thompson, Erin Andersen qualify for state golf tourney
Holyoke golfers Emma Thompson and Erin Andersen, both sophomores, are state-bound after their performances at the regional tournament in Estes Park on Thursday, June 10.
The 3A Colorado state tournament will be played at Elmwood Golf Club in Pueblo on Monday-Tuesday, June 21-22, beginning at 8:30 a.m. both days.
A score of 120 was the cut to qualify for state. Thompson shot 116 to tie for 14th place and Andersen carded 119 to tie for 18th.
Grace Roberts shot 121 to tie for 21st. She is the first alternate and will play if someone in Holyoke’s regional field drops out of the state tournament.
Amy Mackay, who graduated in May, finished in 27th with a 127, ending her HHS golf career.
