Kroeger to speak at fair’s church service
Bryan Kroeger will be giving the message at Phillips County Fair’s community church service Sunday morning, July 25, at 9 a.m. at the Bank of Colorado Pavilion. Music will be led by Arlan and Laurie Scholl and Ron Koch.
Phillips County Fair going on now
The fairgrounds in Holyoke are bustling with activity for the “Raisin’ the Steaks” Phillips County Fair this week. Here is a brief rundown of the schedule:
— Wednesday, July 21: open class entry, 1-6 p.m.; Rocky Mountain oyster dinner, 5:30 p.m.; ranch rodeo, 6 p.m.; cornhole tournament, 9 p.m.
— Thursday, July 22: poultry show, 8:45 a.m.; goat and swine shows, 2 p.m.; circus performance, 7 p.m.
— Friday, July 23: dairy cow and beef shows, 9 a.m.; sheep show, 1 p.m.; horseshoe pitching, 1 p.m.; carnival games, 3-8 p.m.; parade of champions, 4 p.m.; barbecue, 5 p.m.; stock car races, beer garden and music by Half Passed Grass, 7 p.m.
— Saturday, July 24: judged parade entries in line, 8:30 a.m.; other parade entries in line, 9:30 a.m.; parade, 10 a.m.; kids games after parade; carnival games, noon-7 p.m.; pet show, 1 p.m.; horseshoe pitching, 1 p.m.; round robin, 1 p.m.; junior livestock sale, 2:30 p.m.; Bulls Gone Wild!, 7 p.m.; beer garden and music, 9:30 p.m.
— Sunday, July 25: church service, 9 a.m.; tractor pull, noon.
Blood drive is July 30
