Fair keepsake edition coming soon
The Holyoke Enterprise will be publishing a keepsake edition for the Phillips County Fair on Wednesday, Aug. 11. It will include full results and photos from the 4-H, FFA and open class competitions.
Holyoke Volunteer Fire Department to host family fun day, rib cook-off Sunday
Holyoke Volunteer Fire Department is hosting its sixth annual family fun day and rib cook-off Sunday, Aug. 1, at 2 p.m. at Homesteaders Park. There will be kids games, an inflatable bounce house, an antique fire truck show and a community barbecue with freewill donations accepted. Cash prizes are up for grabs in the rib cook-off. Family retreat set for Saturday at Camp Machasay
A free family retreat is scheduled for Saturday, July 31, from 8:30 a.m.-8 p.m. at Camp Machasay, 61360 County Road 40, Amherst.
Organizers are excited to share the love of Christ in a family atmosphere full of fun and biblical teaching in Spanish.
The day will include delicious food, water games, a swimming pool, sports and more. There will be activities for ages 5 and up as well as Bible classes for adults.

Vacation Bible school is next week
Kids age 4 years old through third grade are invited to vacation Bible school at First Baptist Church in Holyoke. Lots of fun is planned for Monday-Thursday, Aug. 2-5, from 6:30-8 p.m. each evening. There is no cost to attend.
