Phillips County Fair parade raises the steaks

Floats, candy and fun were all on hand at the Phillips County Fair parade Saturday, July 24. The fair theme, Raisin’ the Steaks, could be seen in many of the floats as they made their way north on Interocean Avenue toward the fairgrounds.

Dance Fuzion performed a dance number in front of Phillips County Courthouse as the parade began, and grand marshals Mike and Susan Salyards led the parade as community members lined the avenue and kids scrambled for candy tossed by parade participants.

Seaboard Foods earned overall grand champion honors and placed first in the business division, followed by First Pioneer National Bank and Bank of Colorado.
