Veterans Day breakfast, program are next Thursday

Veterans are invited to a breakfast in the Holyoke JR/SR High School commons area next Thursday, Nov. 11, from 7-8 a.m. A program, which is open to the community, will begin at 8:30 a.m. in the auditorium. Army veteran Steve Millage of Holyoke will be the guest speaker.

 

Tea & Talk is Sunday at museum

Phillips County Historical Society is hosting Tea & Talk on Sunday, Nov. 7, at 2 p.m. at the Phillips County Museum. The guest speaker will be Lorraine Townsend. Hats and pearls are encouraged, and admission is free.

 

Free Medicare comparison counseling offered

During open enrollment — Oct. 15-Dec. 7 — Medicare beneficiaries have the option to compare and switch their current Part D prescription drug plan with new upcoming plans for 2022. Even for those who are happy with their current plans, it’s a good idea to compare options to ensure they have a plan that fits their needs and budget.

The local Area Agency on Aging provides free comparison counseling to community members. To schedule Phillips and Sedgwick county appointments, call Mandi Rogers, senor coordinator, at 970-630-7714.

 

League choir concert in Wray on Tuesday

Area junior high and high school students will be performing in a league choir concert Tuesday, Nov. 9, at 6:30 p.m. at Wray High School. It is free and open to the public.
