Centauri tops Limon in 1A championship

No. 2 Centauri edged No. 1 Limon 24-21 on Saturday, Nov. 27, to claim the 1A state football title, ending Limon’s run at winning four consecutive state championships.

In 8-man action, No. 1 Haxtun beat No. 2 Mancos 40-0 on Friday, Nov. 26, to win the championship.

Also last Friday, No. 1 Cheyenne Wells defeated No. 2 Stratton 62-21 to clinch the 6-man title.
