Levi Garrett pleads guilty to menacing, harassment

On Tuesday, Jan. 25, Levi Garrett pleaded guilty to menacing, a Class 5 felony, with domestic violence proven and harassment, a Class 3 misdemeanor. His sentencing hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, March 22.

This stems from an incident on Dec. 19, 2020, in which Phillips County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to County Road 23 on a report of a man with a gun making threats to his family, and Garrett was taken into custody with the assistance of the Holyoke Police Department, Haxtun Police Department and the Colorado State Patrol.

As part of the tentative plea agreement, the following charges were dismissed: attempted murder, assault with extreme indifference, assault by strangulation, retaliation against a witness/victim, felony menacing with a real or simulated weapon, assault in the third degree, violation of a protection order, violation of a protection order with a firearm, false imprisonment and violation of bail bond conditions.
