HHS Class of ’22 to graduate Sunday afternoon

Forty-seven members of the Holyoke High School Class of 2022 are set to cross the stage Sunday, May 15, at their graduation ceremony.

Baccalaureate begins at 1 p.m. in the Holyoke JR/SR High School auditorium, followed by commencement at 2 p.m. in the gymnasium.

Cade Killin, class president, will give an address. There will also be speeches by the valedictorian and salutatorian, who will be announced Sunday.

In addition to the presentation of diplomas and scholarships, citizenship awards will be given to one female and one male by the American Legion Auxiliary and American Legion Post No. 90.

The ceremony will also include performances by Sound Check and the JR/SR high band.

The HHS Class of 2022 has chosen sage green for its class color, a white rose tipped in gold for its class flower and “I Lived” by OneRepublic as its class song. Their motto is “Together, we have experienced life. Separately, we will pursue our dreams. Forever, our memories will remain.”

Graduates include Jose Ayala, Janette Beltran, Samantha Boling, Adrianna Chaney, Wendy Chaparro Rangel, Owen Cruz, Alexis Dominguez, Wendy Favela, Tristen Ferguson, Jennifer Ruby Granados, Kailar Hayes, Lauren Herman, Cesilia Iniguez, Kyleigh Jaeger, Diego Jimenez, Ethan Johnson, Cade Killin, Kaison Kinnie, Correy Koellner, Rachel Krueger, Carlos Legarreta, Brooklyn Leonard, Daniel Leong, Kenneth Lindholm, Angel Martinez Leon, Marco Mendoza, Emma Oakley, Danna Olivas Arvizu, Michel Perez Marty, Yasmil Paniagua, Ivan Ponce, Jonathan Quintana, Oyuki Rangel Fuentes, Theron Roll, Rene Rosales, Josephine Schlachter, Aidyn Shafer, Tuff Sigler, Gage Sprague, Miles Sprague, Baylor Struckmeyer, Elyce Talavera, Samuel Trusty, Emmanuel Vasquez Saavedra, Mason Vernon, Kristin Vieselmeyer and Sarahi Zarate.

Juniors who will be assisting with graduation include grand marshals Sabryn Burris and Kai Siep and ushers Tamara Penzing, Grace Roberts, Cooper Goldenstein and Ethan Schneller.
