Concrete bids accepted for Belford, Kunkel

Holyoke City Council met for a brief meeting Tuesday, June 7.
Council members approved two bids from Koellner Enterprises to lay concrete on one block of South Belford Avenue for $73,187 and one block of West Kunkel Street for $91,288.
In Mark Brown’s superintendent’s report, he said he’s been a part of communications center finance committee meetings in which entities are trying to come to a mutual agreement on what portion of the comm center’s costs the county, city, etc. should be paying.
He also said that now that it’s summertime, the airport has been seeing more jet traffic and has been selling more fuel.
