Jury pool called for German murder trial in Chase County

Jury summons notices have been mailed to 125 Chase County, Nebraska, residents for Kevin German’s upcoming first-degree murder-kidnapping trial.
County Clerk Debbie Clark said the 125 notices her office sent out is higher than usual, but those numbers vary depending on whether it’s a criminal or civil trial.
“This is higher than normal,” Clark said Friday, July 1.
She said the Nebraska Attorney General’s Office, which is prosecuting the state’s case in Chase County, requested the number of summonses.
