Melissa Memorial screens for COVID-19, closes front entry, limits visitors

After announcing that the Phillips County COVID-19 positivity rate was high last week, Melissa Memorial Hospital began implementing some changes at the facility in Holyoke.

The MMH admissions front entrance is temporarily closed. If visiting patients, people should now use the emergency room door. All other outpatient services should use the Family Practice of Holyoke entrance.

All patients and visitors are being screened upon entry. Visitors may be limited, and visitation will be based on patient need and individual circumstances.

MMH is reminding the community to stay safe by washing hands, covering coughs, staying home if sick and keeping a distance from others.

Health department updates COVID-19 data dashboard

As the world continues to track COVID-19 for the longer term, the Northeast Colorado Health Department wants to ensure that its communities have access to relevant data.

Because of this, NCHD has updated its COVID-19 dashboard with improved navigation, combined case and vaccination data, and more informative details.

The dashboard can be viewed at www.nchd.org/covid-dashboard.

As capacity grows, NCHD continually has access to new data for tracking trends over time. Therefore, the new dashboard will be updated three times a week on Monday, Wednesday and Friday by 10 a.m. Another notable improvement is that the data will now scale appropriately to be viewable from mobile devices.
