Sign up now for blood drive set for Thursday, Sept. 29

Holyoke High School is hosting a Red Cross blood drive Thursday, Sept. 29, from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. at First Baptist Church, 1000 E. Johnson St., Holyoke.

Youth volleyball clinic offered

A volleyball clinic for second and third graders is set for Fridays, Sept. 23 and 30, from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at the Holyoke JR/SR High School gym. The deadline to sign up is Thursday, Sept. 22. Registration is available on the City of Holyoke Recreation Facebook page or by contacting director Victoria Dunker at 970-580-3659 or recdirector@cityofholyoke-co.gov.

Chili cookoff, cornhole are Sunday

Pumpkins and More A-Maiz-ing Farm’s fourth annual chili cookoff and cornhole tournament are Sunday, Sept. 25. Customers will judge the chili, which should be ready by 12:30 p.m. Cornhole teams need to check in by 1:30 p.m. Call or text 970-580-5382 to register a team. To get to the farm, go 6 miles south of Holyoke on Highway 385 and 3.5 miles east on County Road 10.
