Easter egg hunts planned for Saturday

Holyoke’s annual Easter egg hunt is scheduled for Saturday, April 8, at 1 p.m. in three locations. Age 6 and under will be at the Phillips County Court House lawn, sponsored by Holyoke Lions Club. Students in grades 1 and 2 can meet at Holyoke City Park, sponsored by American Legion Post 90. Grades 3 and 4 will hunt for eggs at the school practice football field, sponsored by VFW Post 6482.

Thrashers Softball Club is also hosting an Easter egg hunt this year on Saturday at 6 p.m. at the Holyoke baseball/softball fields. Kids up to age 3 will hunt for eggs in the infield of the main field. Pre-K and  kindergarten will be on the west half of the outfield on the main field, and grades 1-2 will be on the east half. Third and fourth graders will be at the practice field. 

 

Agriculture disaster relief webinar is next week

The Colorado Department of Agriculture is hosting an agriculture disaster relief and recovery funding webinar with Ag Emergency Coordinator Dan Frazen on Friday, April 14, at 2 p.m. It will provide an overview of the state and federal funding programs that could be available when disasters strike ag communities. Experts from the state and federal government will introduce these important programs and will be available to answer questions.

“Jesus Revolution” free for 5th-12th grade

A free showing of “Jesus Revolution” will be played Monday, April 10, at the Peerless Theatre from 6:30-8:30 p.m. in place of Lift, sponsored by an anonymous donor. All 5th-12th graders and their families are invited. Concessions will be open.
