Adam Wirges

Adam Edward Wirges was born Nov. 9, 1984, to Phillip and Carolyn (Prothman) Wirges in Holyoke. He died Nov. 9, 2020, in Brush at the age of 36.

Following high school, Adam received an Associates of Arts degree. He was a trained firefighter. He was self-employed since 2009.

Adam enjoyed wakeboarding, skiing, fun with friends anywhere, golfing, riding motor bikes and playing cards.

Adam was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joe and Alleida Wirges and Ed and Molly Prothman; uncles, Jay Becker and Dean Wirges; aunt, Lois Wirges; and cousin, Mandy Olnes.

Adam is survived by his parents, Phillip and Carolyn Wirges of Holyoke; sister, Carissa Dulmus and husband Mike of Hayden; sister, Amber Matteson and husband Mat of Kearney, Nebraska; and other relatives and friends.

The memorial service was held Nov. 14 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Holyoke, with Father Jerry Rohr officiating. The service was livestreamed on the Schmidt-Jones Funeral Home Facebook page.
