Betty Jean (Kissler) Kramer of Holyoke was born March 27, 1934, in Gering, Nebraska, to Henry and Marie (Schwabauer) Kissler. Betty died and went home to be with the Lord Jan. 15, 2018.
Betty grew up in the Scottsbluff valley of Nebraska with her parents and 11 brothers and sisters. She married Norman Kramer on March 3, 1961, in Denver, and in 1969 they moved to the Holyoke area with their three children to farm. Betty and Norman actively engaged in farming until Norman’s death in 1995.
Betty enjoyed painting, primarily with oils, was involved with various clubs, was fond of gardening and loved her collection of African violets, but her favorite activity was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
As a member of the Holyoke Church of Christ, Betty was known to be a faith-filled woman of God who would always welcome you with a cup of coffee and comforting conversation at her kitchen table. For the last several years, Betty’s health was deteriorating, but her unwavering faith that she would soon be with her Lord never diminished, and at the age of 83 she was reunited with her Savior. Betty will be very dearly missed by all who crossed her path throughout her life.
She is survived by her three children, Maury Kramer and wife Nola of Amherst, Matt Kramer and wife Amy of Eaton, and Carrie McMillan of Littleton; 11 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
The memorial service was held Jan. 20 at Holyoke Church of Christ. A family inurnment was held at Gering Westlawn Cemetery in Gering, Nebraska.
Memorials may be made to Mountain States Children’s Home.
Baucke Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
