Bill Baker

    William “Bill” Baker, 55, of Ogallala, Nebraska, died Nov. 7, 2018, at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska. William was born Jan. 15, 1963, in Bethel, North Carolina, to Joe and Juanita (Martin) Baker Jr.
    Bill had spent some years working as a Schwan’s man around the Wray and Holyoke areas before eventually going to work at ASC.
    Bill was preceded in death by his brother, Joe, the 3rd; his parents-in-law, Kenneth and Evelyn Standage; grandparents, Taft and Ima May Martin and Joe Sr. And Bertha Baker; and nieces, Jennifer and Jeanna Standage.
    Survivors include the love of his life, Tammy Baker of Ogallala; son, Ashley Ryan and Angie Baker of Imperial, Nebraska; daughter, Miranda and Josh Gallagher of Belle Fourche, South Dakota; granddaughter, Kaydance Joy of Belle Fourche; parents, Joe and Juanita Baker of North Carolina; sister, Anita Jo and Butch Thompson of North Carolina; brother, Charlie and Amber Baker of Georgia; and many other relatives, friends and special “grandpuppies.”
    Memorial services were held Nov. 13 at First United Methodist Church in Ogallala, with Pastor Chuck Rager officiating. No interment of cremains is planned at this time.
    In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in Bill’s memory for later designation.
