Garrett Stephenson

    Garrett Stephenson, 33, of Holyoke, formerly of Marshalltown, Iowa, died July 8, 2017, in Holyoke. He was born Feb. 3, 1984, to Todd and Deb (Rowley) Stephenson in Marshalltown.
    Garrett graduated from GMG High School in 2002. He attended Simpson College. Garrett was employed with Sullivan’s Appliance & Air in Holyoke.
    He enjoyed hunting and Nascar racing. Garrett enjoyed all sports but most of all was an avid Iowa Hawkeyes fan.
    Garrett will be missed by his father and stepmother, Todd and Shirley Stephenson of Marshalltown; his mother, Deb Beem of Marshalltown; brother, Chris Stephenson and wife Jenni of Marshalltown; and grandmother, Sally Sharp of Marshalltown.
    He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Melvin and Mary Stephenson, Ed Sharp and Merle Rowley.
    Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 15, at 10:30 a.m. at Beaman United Methodist Church in Beaman, Iowa. Visitation will be Friday, July 14, 4-7 p.m. at Anderson Funeral Homes, 405 W. Main St. in Marshalltown. Interment will be at Vienna Cemetery in rural Beaman. The family is requesting that people dress casual or wear their favorite Hawkeyes apparel in memory of Garrett.
