Gene Vorce

George “Gene” Vorce, 86, died at home on Dec. 10, 2022, in Fort Collins. Gene was born April 13, 1936, in Yuma and was the youngest of four children born to George and Elva Vorce. 

In 1955, he met and married Darlene Fisbeck of Paoli. Gene and Darlene celebrated 66 years of marriage a week prior to her death in September 2021. In 1961 they moved to Fort Collins, where they raised their two daughters. 

Gene served in the Army National Guard for several years and was honorably discharged in November 1962. He owned multiple businesses over the years in Fort Collins, including University TV, Custom Sound and Boats Unlimited. 

He is survived by his daughters Cindy and Cathy, both of Fort Collins; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many cherished friends. 

Service plans to celebrate Gene’s life are pending until after the holidays. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his honor to Pathways of Northern Colorado (hospice).
