Jeanette Hinde

    Jeanette Ilene Hinde, age 80, of Haxtun, died Jan. 13, 2018, after eight years of Alzheimer’s disease. Jeanette was born Aug. 23, 1937, in Haxtun to Lawrence “Swede” and Pauline (Cheramy) Sullivan.
    She attended schools in Paoli and Haxtun High School. Jeanette and her twin sister Joyce were baton twirlers for the Haxtun High band.
    On Oct. 23, 1955, she married Wilbur LeRoy Hinde at the Paoli Methodist Church. Together they made their home south of Haxtun where they farmed. She loved spending time outdoors and taking care of her roses, and she enjoyed crafting stained glass and porcelain dolls and collected Precious Moments figurines.
    Jeanette loved her children and grandchildren and loved spending time with them.
    She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Pauline Sullivan; son, Doug Hinde; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bob and Viola Hinde; and sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and Harold Lundgren.
    Jeanette is survived by her husband of 62 years, Wilbur; daughter, Julie and husband Howard Fix Jr. of Sterling; son, Scott and wife Kim Hinde of Haxtun; grandchildren, Tyler Fix, LaDonna Norton and Javion Norton, Derek Fix, Dalton and Alivia Hinde, Brandon Hinde and Courtney King; her home care aid, Lynn; sister and brother-in-law, Phyllis and Clyde Einspahr; sister-in-law, Shirley Wisdom; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
    Memorial contributions will be given to the Alzheimer’s Association, 455 Sherman St. #500, Denver, CO 80203.
    The funeral service was held Jan. 18 at The United Methodist Church in Haxtun, with Pastor Al Strauss of Holyoke United Methodist Church officiating. Interment was at the Haxtun Cemetery.
    Baucke Funeral Home directed the service.
