Jerry Mussman

Jerry O. Mussman died peacefully on Oct. 21, 2020, at his home in Montrose. He was 77 years old. He was born Aug. 29, 1943, in Del Norte to Florence and Otto Mussman.

After graduation from Center High School in Center, he served in the Navy for four years.

He graduated from Western State College in 1950 and went to work for Gunnison Bank and Trust as a loan officer. After his banking years, he and a friend started their own building company. He retired at 63, and in 2016 he and his wife moved to Montrose.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Lindsay Mussman; two daughters, Heidi Spitz and husband Pat and Heather Abts and husband Ben; and grandchildren, Coleton Spitz and wife Rachael, Ciera Eriksen and husband Seth, Makayla Spitz, Katarina Abts, Kendrea Abts and Chayna Abts.

A celebration of life will be held next spring.
