JoAnn Deremo

JoAnn Anita Deremo of Dove Creek was born Oct. 8, 1933, a few miles north of Paoli, the daughter of Walter and Emma (Finkner) Biesemeier. She died April 12, 2020, at Mercy Hospice House in Durango at the age of 86.

Surviving JoAnn are her husband, Lawrence H. Deremo of Dove Creek; children, Lyle Deremo and Ginny Craig of Durango and Dove Creek and Rick Deremo and Linda of Dove Creek; grandchildren, Drey Deremo, Kalen Deremo, Karsten Deremo, and Kellie Halper and Tim; great-grandchildren, Reagan Halper and Sloan Halper; brother, Quentin Biesemeier of Haxtun; and nieces and nephews, Nancy and Rob Dee of Haxtun, Connie and Don Reutter of Worland, Wyoming, and Brian and Lori Biesemeier of Sedgwick.

JoAnn was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Edith Harms; brother-in-law, Chester Harms; and niece, Joyce Harms.

Private graveside services were held April 18 at Dove Creek Cemetery. Due to the current health situation and the mandatory restrictions on public gatherings associated with it, only immediate family was in attendance.

Ertel Funeral Home in Cortez directed the service.
