Michel Kristen Kier, best known as “Kris,” was born May 9, 1947, to Bill and Wilma (Nell) Fraley in Denver. She died May 8, 2017, at her home in Ovid, which she lovingly referred to as “Green Acres.”
Kris married Larry Kier on March 28, 1982, and through this union four children became siblings — Kyla, Lisa, Todd and Danielle.
She worked for the United States Postal Service. Kris loved her family deeply, spending time with her kids and grandkids. She had many hobbies, including crafting, reading and telling stories. She loved exploring, drawing, quilting, laughing, and being with family and friends.
Kris was the kindest person. She would light up a room with her smile. Kris loved being with Larry, her best friend and husband of 40 years. The kids remember their mom always said “every day is a gift.” Kris’s life on Green Acres was heaven on earth with her one true love.
Kris was preceded in death by her mother, Wilma “Wink” Fraley; sister, Debbie Faught; and niece, Maureen Ramey.
Kris will be greatly missed by her husband, Larry Kier; children, Kyla and Todd Wallace, Lisa and Bill Doud, Danielle and Darin Palmer, and Todd and Toni Kier; nine grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
