Lloyd Brandt

Lloyd William Brandt was born Dec. 27, 1938, at his Grandma Brown’s house near Julesburg. He died at the age of 83 on Aug. 21, 2022, in Brush.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arnold Herman Brandt and Alta Irene (Brown) Brandt, and a brother, Carl Brandt.

Lloyd was a farmer but also worked at other part-time jobs doing farm work, laying cement, work at the Great Western Sugar factory in Ovid, a school yard man and a hunters’ guide in the Rocky Mountains.

He loved to go hunting, fishing and dancing.

He was married to Vera Billingsley (Rasmussen) Brandt for 20 years. To this union, one son, Trent Lee Brandt, was born. Lloyd was a good dad and stepdad.

He is survived by his son, Trent Brandt; stepsons, Noel and W. Scott Rasmussen; stepdaughter, Sherri (Rasmussen) Henderson; brothers, Robert Brandt and Dale Brandt and wife Marilyn; sister-in-law, Maxine Brandt; and many nieces and nephews.
