Margaret Bobzin

Margaret T. Bobzin died Dec. 3, 2017, of complications from cancer. She was born Oct. 30, 1947, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to Harold and Marie (Mountain) Bobzin.
Margaret, the youngest of three sisters, followed her sisters in graduating from Washington High School in Milwaukee. She began her 40-plus years in banking shortly thereafter, working her way up from teller to vice president, chief operations officer and board member in eight different banks along the way.
A single mother, she moved to Holyoke in 1980 with her son, Thomas, where she was involved in the startup and management of two different banks. After a brief return to Wisconsin, she moved to San Diego, California, to enjoy time with her granddaughter Lauren and to continue her career.
She enjoyed her retirement there and in Wisconsin, Alaska and South Carolina when she wasn’t training her cairn terrier Lebowski to play rummy.
She is survived by her son, Thomas; daughter-in-law, Jennifer; granddaughters, Lauren, Alyssa and Sierra; brothers-in-law, Daniel Warmuth and Charles Rynski; and the Warmuth, Rynski and Randa families of Wisconsin.
In lieu of memorials, donations to the Alaska Wilderness League are suggested.
A celebration of her life will be held Aug. 3 at sunset on the big island at Franklin Lake in Oneida County, Wisconsin.
