   MaryLou Gift, 81, of Tyler, Texas, formerly of Wills Point, Texas, died Wednesday morning, Aug. 2, 2017, in Tyler. She was born Nov. 3, 1935, in Liberal, Kansas, the daughter of Walter Charles Ross and Mary Leola Bennett Ross.
    She was raised in Liberal and graduated from Liberal High School in 1953. On Dec. 27, 1953, she married Floyd Dale Gift in Liberal. Prior to moving to Wills Point, Texas, in 1977, she lived in Garden City, Kansas, and Logan, Kansas.
    She was a homemaker, and in her spare time, she enjoyed quilting, genealogy, traveling, and spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
    MaryLou was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Wills Point.
    She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter Charles and Mary Leola Ross; husband, Floyd Dale Gift Sr. on Aug. 13, 2006; two brothers, Wayne Ross and Glen Eldon Ross; and daughter-in-law, Kate Sumners.
    She is survived by four sons, Paul Gift and wife Sheila of Holyoke, Floyd Gift Jr. of Holyoke, Charles Richard Gift and wife Carolyn of Terrell, Texas, and Mark Alan Gift and wife, Kristi of Wills Point; three daughters, Vickie Bowyer of Wichita, Kansas, Janice Aoyama and husband Kory of Plano, Texas, and Jenifer White and husband Mitchell of Indianapolis, Indiana; 28 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
    Funeral services for MaryLou Gift were held Aug. 7 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, with Bro. Dennis Ivy officiating.
    Interment followed at Bright Star Cemetery north of Wills Point, under the direction of Allan Fuller Funeral Home in Wills Point.
