Orville Covert

Orville Marlin Covert, age 89, of St. George, Utah, died Feb. 23, 2020, at Red Cliffs Health and Rehab in St. George. He was born Feb. 13, 1931, in Haxtun to Orville Franklin and Velma Lenora (Myers) Covert.

Orville was the service manager at a Ford garage in Sterling. He later got into the fire alarm business and ended up working with his youngest son, Randy, in his business in Mesa, Arizona.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Cheryl Marlene Covert; sister, Vona Lenora (Covert) Maine; and wives, Sally Verlene Barnhart, Charlene Hart and MaryGail Covert.

He is survived by his children, Michael Stephen and Kathy Covert, Randall Marlin and Kelly Covert, and Robert Eugene Covert; 16 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Cremation was chosen. A memorial service will be held at a later date at Hebgen Lake in Montana.
