Rick Jerome

Richard S. “Rick” Jerome, 70, originally from Holyoke, died by suicide on Jan. 3, 2022, at his home in Denver. He suffered severely from terminal COPD and other major health challenges.

Rick was a 1969 graduate of Holyoke High School and subsequently graduated from Colorado State University and the University of Denver College of Law.

Rick was preceded in death by his mother, Virginia G. Jerome, and grandparents, Leslie L. and Grace E. Kunkel.

He is survived by his mother’s sister, Norma Warren, and many cousins.

His family greatly misses him but is relieved his suffering has ended. Rick will be remembered for his kindness, intelligence and sense of humor, as well as his passion for science fiction and rock and roll.

A virtual memorial service is being planned.
