Robyn Howitt

Robyn Elizabeth Howitt, age 25, of Sidney, Nebraska, died Jan. 24, 2021, at Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland. Robyn was born May 31, 1995, in Julesburg to Lance and Jodi (Fulscher) Howitt.
Robyn lived with her family in small towns all over Nebraska and eastern Colorado while her parents were involved in the teaching profession. The best move of Robyn’s life was when the family moved to Sidney in 2015. Robyn was able to attend Sidney High School for one year. During that one year at SHS, Robyn formed a bond that would make her a Red Raider to her core for the rest of her life.
Robyn loved any type of social activity. She was involved with Special Olympics bowling and track and won several state championships in both sports. She loved working at Sonny’s and the OHD thrift store in Sidney, being an assistant paraeducator at North Elementary, and most of all being a volleyball and girls basketball manager for her beloved Lady Raiders. The four true loves of Robyn’s life were her big brother Garrett, the Tri-City Storm hockey team, the Sidney Red Raiders and her dog Sam.
She was a generous and giving soul to her family and friends. She was always ready to go shopping for gifts for someone she cared about, no matter the occasion. Robyn knew no strangers, whether it be a person or a dog. Robyn always had time to pet and hug a dog. She especially loved her brother’s dog Ava and her own dogs Token and her new best buddy Sam.
Robyn is survived by her parents, Lance and Jodi Howitt of Sidney; brother, Garrett and special friend Elle of Lincoln, Nebraska; sister and nephew, Jordan and Brynndon of Amherst, Nebraska; grandparents, Mary Fulscher of Amherst, Colorado, and Jim and Charlene Howitt of Kearney, Nebraska; uncle, Stacy Fulscher of Amherst, Colorado; uncles and aunts, Dallas and Tammy Covalt of Broadwater, Nebraska, and Mike and Holly Cool of Kearney; great-grandmother, Margie Fulscher of Holyoke; and many cousins and countless people that loved her dearly.
Robyn was preceded in death by her grandpa, Gary Fulscher; great-grandparents, Duane and Lorna Meinte, Jay and Kay Martin, and Hazel Mutchie; and special great-aunt, Naomi Jenkins.
A celebration of life for Robyn is planned for Saturday, May 29, at 2 p.m. The venue for Robyn’s celebration will be announced at a later date.
