Ron Hart

Ronald Gene Hart died Aug. 17, 2020. He was born July 26, 1940, in Haxtun.

Ron studied in the Haxtun education system and graduated from Haxtun High School. He furthered his education at Colorado University were he studied music and arts. Singing was his specialty. In high school, he picked up learning how to play the trumpet.

While Ron worked his dad’s farm and hauled cattle, he also owned several companies including R&R Construction and IGA grocery store in McCook, Nebraska. He acquired his father Willard Hart’s insurance company, Hart Insurance Agency, in Haxtun after his death.

Ron was a very beautiful soul. His true character was revealed by what he did when no one was watching. He used to laugh by saying his name was Oliver Boliver Sabnesky III. His sense of humor, love and kindness in his heart were amazing. Everyone he worked with showed their love to him with tremendous appreciation for him.

Ron was preceded in death by his father, Willard Muir Hart, and mother, Della Jean Hart.

He is survived by his wife, Janet E. Hart; his four children, Shelia Wymer of Texas, Scott Hart of North Platte, Nebraska, Suzette Mueller of McCook and Stephine Rogers of Arcade, New York; siblings, Phyllis Ann Hart, Linda Nostram and Barbara Hart; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

His family was the most important to him. He loved spending time making adventures and loving memories.

Ron’s funeral service was held Aug. 24 at Haxtun Church of the Brethren, with interment following at Haxtun Cemetery.

Baucke Funeral Home directed the service.
